President Bola Tinubu has reportedly called for a meeting with the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, at the Presidential Villa.

The scheduled meeting is expected to take place on Tuesday afternoon in Abuja, as reported by The Nation.

This summons follows Tunji-Ojo's connection to an alleged fraudulent activity involving the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Betta Edu. The ministry, under Edu's leadership, reportedly awarded a consultancy contract of N438 million for the National Social Register to New New Planet Projects Ltd, a company linked to Tunji-Ojo.

In the wake of financial irregularities and mismanagement of public funds, President Tinubu suspended Edu on Monday. As the investigation unfolds, Tunji-Ojo's meeting with the president may shed light on the extent of his involvement in the alleged fraud.
