Renowned Nigerian singer, Terry G, has taken to his Instagram to express frustration at his colleagues for consistently ignoring his messages, particularly during challenging times. The artist lamented the lack of response, questioning the fairness of their treatment towards him, especially considering the support he had extended to them in the past.
In a heartfelt post, Terry G reminded fellow artists that contributions to the global music library of sounds should be acknowledged while emphasizing that recognition and celebration shouldn't be reserved only for the departed.
He stated, "You write to your fellow artist, and they wouldn't respond. We don't have to die to be remembered & celebrated. At the end of the day, we all contribute to the global music library of sounds. Just in case. I am back. Thank you for the wait."
In a follow-up video, Terry G further expressed his disappointment, questioning whether it is necessary for him to pass away before receiving acknowledgment and remembrance from his colleagues. He reflected on the apparent double standards in the music industry, urging his peers to reconsider their actions.
"But this isn't fair na, you will write to your fellow artist, he wouldn't respond. Is it until I die before you guys would do remembrance for me? Na so Nigerian music be, make una reason am oo," he voiced out in the video.
