Currently occupying the sixth position in the Premier League table, West Ham achieved a remarkable 2-0 victory against Arsenal on Thursday night.
Despite leading the club to Europa Conference League success last season, Moyes has faced scrutiny in recent months, particularly due to West Ham's struggle against relegation last term and a lackluster start to the 2023/24 campaign.
After six years at the helm, Moyes' existing contract concludes in the summer. However, recent impressive performances, including wins against Tottenham, Manchester United, and Arsenal, have prompted a reconsideration from the West Ham leadership. Discussions about a contract extension for Moyes are now underway.
Addressing questions about his contract after the triumph at the Emirates Stadium, Moyes stated, "There's plenty of time to talk about that. We’re not in any great rush. We can get that done when we're ready. I'm enjoying my time."
Reflecting on his tenure, Moyes added, "When we came back here, we came back to make sure West Ham didn’t get relegated. That was four years ago now. Since then, we’ve grown, and I think the team is getting better. We won’t be challenging all the top teams all the time because we’re not dining at that table, but we’re coming now and again to these teams and giving them a game."
