The Biafra Republic Government in Exile (BRGIE) officially presents its assertion of 40 states, calling upon the Nigerian government to acknowledge these entities. Prime Minister Simon Ekpa underscores the necessity for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the withdrawal of all Nigerian forces from these 40 states to restore peace.
Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), was apprehended on June 27, 2021, either in Kenya or another location, by Interpol and subsequently extradited to Nigeria to face trial.
Ekpa:-
"Officially, Biafra is presenting its 40 United States of Biafra.
The Nigeria government must recognise these Biafra 40 states, release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and withdraw all Nigeria forces from these 40 states to restore peace."
The proclaimed 40 states, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) named Ebube, are as follows:
