Renowned actor in the Kannywood industry, Ali Nuhu, has expressed his strong feelings about the recent music video posted by Nigerian Afrobeats sensation, Davido, on behalf of his new signee, Logos Olori.

Davido's tweet, “Allow me to re-introduce, @logosori with his new single “Jaye Lo”… Lets Run It Up one time! Let’s take over the world.”

Along with the accompanying video, sparked outrage among the Muslim community due to its allegedly offensive and disrespectful content towards their religion.

The video portrayed a group of men adorned in white 'jalamiya' attire initially engaged in prayer before transitioning into a lively dance routine in front of a mosque. Understandably, this imagery did not sit well with Muslim believers, leading to widespread criticism and condemnation. Many Muslims vowed to boycott Davido's music and threatened to take matters into their own hands if he did not promptly remove the video and issue an apology.

In solidarity with the sentiments expressed by his fellow Muslims, Ali Nuhu took to his Instagram page to voice his disapproval and join in the demand for Davido to delete the controversial video and apologize without delay. This serves as a testament to the strength of the Muslim community's reaction and highlights the need for cultural sensitivity and respect in artistic expressions.

He wrote;

“I just came across the controversial video posted by @davido, as much we want to be creative in our various fields we should learn to respect other people’s religion, culture and tradition. This is totally unacceptable in Islam. You should pull down that video and apologize for hurting the entire Muslim ummah.”
