US-based Nigerian rapper, Yung6ix, has spoken up about achieving fame before popular Nigerian singer, Davido. In a recent statement, Yung6ix took a jab at Davido for not acknowledging him in his list of young individuals who rose to prominence in the Nigerian music industry.
According to Yung6ix, it was Wizkid, Olamide, and himself that paved the way for other artists to attain global recognition and success in Afrobeat music. While he expressed his love for Davido, Yung6ix made it clear that he deserved to be part of the legacy too.
His Said;
“David, David. How many times I called your name?
"You know I got nothing but love for you, my boy. But let’s get it straight. It was Wizkid, Olamide and Young6ix before it was you. We were the youngins of that time."
"You want to skip me from the legacy?”
