In a shocking turn of events, it has been revealed that the bid by INEOS chief Sir Jim Ratcliffe to buy Premier League giants Manchester United is 'dead'. Bloomberg business journalist David Hellier disclosed this information on United View, citing sources close to Man United advisers.

Hellier explained that Ratcliffe's proposed structure would buy out the Glazers without offering anything to minority shareholders. This has angered slightly aggressive funds, mainly in the US but also some in the UK, who have threatened to sue the board via a letter.

As a result, the Man United side's three independent directors have reportedly refused to sanction or recommend Ratcliffe's bid under these circumstances.

"It's either sort out the threat, restructure the bid, or it's finished," Hellier warned. He further revealed that the Qatar bid remains the only "proper bidder"

At this point. This shocking revelation has left Man United fans wondering what the future holds for the club. Will Ratcliffe come back with a revised bid or will the Qataris emerge as the new owners of the iconic football club? Only time will tell.
