The renowned Nigerian online fraudster Ramon Abass would be the subject of a movie series, according to American rapper and producer 50 Cent, Curtis James Jackson III.
Abass, well known by his stage name Hushpuppi, was detained in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in June 2020 after being accused of scamming over 1.9 million people, the majority of them were Americans.
On July 3 of the same year, he was later extradited to the US for a trial.
Hushpuppi was found guilty of laundering proceeds from a school finance scam, business email hack, and other fraudulent cyber operations, and on Monday 7 November 2022, a United States District Court sitting in the Central District of California sentenced him to 11 years and three months.
Prior to the trial, the 37-year-old entered a guilty plea to the accusations leveled against him.
On Wednesday, 50 Cent announced on his Instagram page that he was developing a movie based on the life of Hushpuppi by posting images of the prisoner.
"For my scammers I gotta do this one, the founder of G-Unit Records stated in the caption. Coming soon: the Hushpuppi series! Green Light Gang i don't miss".
