John Ikechukwu Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, is facing family disputes over the management of funds raised for his medical care. In response to accusations made by Stella Maris, Mr. Ibu's second son, Daniel Okafor, has come forward to counter her claims.
Stella Maris, Mr. Ibu's stepmother, had previously denied rumors of demanding money for personal expenses, attributing the misinformation to the actor's adopted daughter, Jazmine. Stella clarified that she does not have access to Mr. Ibu's main bank account and accused Jazmine of controlling the account where charitable contributions were made.
However, in a recent revelation, Daniel Okafor, Mr. Ibu's second son, refuted Stella Maris's statements. Daniel asserted that he has control over the account in question and is the signatory, as well as Mr. Ibu's next of kin. Contrary to Stella Maris's claims, Daniel stated that Jazmine does not have access to the account.
When questioned about his relationship with Stella Maris, Daniel confirmed that she is his stepmother but declined to provide further details about his biological mother, mentioning that she is currently not available. The family disputes highlight ongoing tensions regarding the transparency and control of the funds raised for Mr. Ibu's health.
