Seun Kuti, the Nigerian artist, shares candid thoughts on AY Makun's house fire incident, reflecting on their past interactions and humor.

Seun Kuti, a prominent Nigerian artist, has recently commented on comedian Ayo Makun's unfortunate house fire incident. AY and his family had to temporarily relocate to the United States after their Lagos residence was consumed by a fire.

Seun Kuti recalled previous instances where AY, in his comedic skits, referred to Seun's daughter in a manner that Seun found offensive. Despite this, Seun acknowledged that AY had been supportive during Seun's own trials and tribulations, emphasizing the complex nature of their relationship.

In a surprising revelation, Seun alleged that AY is known within the industry for having a problematic relationship, claiming that the comedian mistreats his wife and has issues with halitosis (mouth odor). Seun also critiqued AY's comedic style, describing it as lacking in humor and heavily reliant on dry jokes.

Seun stated, “The very day Ayo Makun’s house got burnt, I went live. Can’t you people remember when he portrayed my daughter as a dog in his dry skits and was using my trials and tribulations to make jokes? He has a mouth odor, you can ask anyone in the industry to confirm this. Is it not the same Ayo that beats his wife every time? All of you were laughing that time, now see what happened to him”.

This development follows the August incident where AY Makun's Lagos residence suffered a devastating fire, resulting in significant property loss.
