 Kenny Ogungbe, the founder of Kennis Music, has successfully completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme at the age of 53, sparking speculation about his future endeavors.

Renowned music executive, Kenny Ogungbe, widely known as Keke, has accomplished the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme, a notable feat at the age of 53. Images from his Passing Out Parade (POP) on Thursday have quickly gained traction on social media.

Sharing the photos on his Instagram, the esteemed broadcaster expressed, "NYSC graduation/POP today. Lagos/12C graduation day. To God be the glory." Ogungbe took part in the Batch C Stream of the National Service, successfully concluding the program on Thursday, October 12, 2023.

The news of Ogungbe’s NYSC completion has ignited diverse reactions, particularly on social media. Many were surprised to learn of the 53-year-old's prior service as a Youth Corps member. Speculation arose about the possibility of his entry into politics, as per the NYSC Act, mandating national service for all graduates below the age of 30.

Rumors circulated that this move might signify his preparation for potential candidacy in the 2027 general election. These speculations led to a series of light-hearted jests and memes regarding his stylish interpretation of the NYSC uniform.

Ogungbe is the visionary behind the renowned label Kennis Music, and serves as the CEO alongside Dayo “D1” Adeneye. They are also proprietors of Kennis 104.1 FM, Lagos. In collaboration with Dayo Adeneye, also known as D1, Ogungbe co-hosted the music program AIT Jamz, which aired on AIT in the late 1990s (later becoming PrimeTime Jamz on NTA).

He has played a pivotal role in the careers of artists like 'The Remedies' (launching the solo careers of Eedris Abdulkareem and Tony Tetuila), Sound Sultan, 2face Idibia (producing his initial two solo albums), and Oritse Femi, among others.
