Thaddeus Attah, the House of Representatives representative for Eti-Osa Federal Constituency, has refuted claims suggesting he was removed from his position by the tribunal.
Earlier reports had indicated that the petition tribunal in Lagos State had nullified the House of Representatives election for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency, seemingly unseating the Labour Party candidate who was initially declared the winner. Disputing these reports, Attah took to Twitter to clarify the situation.
He explained that the tribunal has, in fact, ordered a re-run (supplementary election) specifically for the 32 polling units where the election did not take place. Attah reassured constituents, urging them to remain calm, emphasizing that they will navigate this process together.
He stated, ''No cause for alarm! I am here to clarify that I was not sacked. The Tribunal has simply ordered a re-run (supplementary election) in the 32 polling units where elections did not hold."
"We will continue working for Etiosa. I urge constituents to keep calm as we are unshaken. We will get through this together.'
