The Leicester City Football Club is excited to announce the hiring of Dean Smith as First Team Manager of the Club through the end of the 2022–2023 campaign.
Smith has previously managed Norwich City, Aston Villa and Brentford and will begin his duties from Tuesday in preparation for the Foxes' upcoming Premier League match against Manchester City this Saturday.
Smith brings with him a wealth of experience in the managerial position and, along with his assistant Craig Shakespeare - who previously served under Nigel Pearson and Claudio Ranieri at Leicester City and even successfully steered the Club away from relegation during his 2017 reign as manager - and John Terry, the former England captain who worked under Smith's management as a coach at Aston Villa, Smith will be tasked with helping the Club remain in the Premier League.
Adam Sadler and Mike Stowell, who both already act as City’s First Team Coaches, will complete Smith's coaching team. We wish Dean the best of luck as he begins his tenure and we look forward to seeing his team take on Manchester City this weekend.
