In a recent video post by popular Nigerian musician Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, he reacts to the country's continuing difficulties following the introduction of the new redesigned naira notes.
Portable laments on his official Instagram page, speaking about the challenges he is currently facing in order to gain access to money.
This follows the Central Bank of Nigeria's (CBN) decision to extend the deadline for the usage of old notes until February 10, 2023. Nigerians had already requested a deadline extension, blaming the unavailability of new notes in circulation.
According to Portable, the new redesigned naira notes have done more harm than good to society since banks have neglected to release money to all citizens, causing a difficult situation.
He also stated that individuals in charge of the POS had increased their fees, making life harder for people.
Portable also discusses the country's petrol scarcity, noting that it has resulted in a hike in food prices, among other things. Later, he curses the government.
